Slow Youtube With old Laptop

I just recently built a really nice desktop computer, but one part had a defect. While I am waiting for the defective part to be re-sent to me, I started using an old laptop of mine an Acer Aspire 5315. Originally the laptop had Vista and was loaded with loads of junk-ware, which I removed by installing a clean version of Windows XP. I have 2 questions.

1. I installed XP on a new partition, the D drive. Now I still have the Vista install on the C Drive. Is there anyway of removing all content on the C drive?

2. The Computer is fast when doing simple things. When I went to watch some youtube videos, the videos became really laggy, the computer only has a 1.7ghz Celeron processor and one gigabyte of ram. Is it possible to fix this problem without installing any new hardware?

Thanks

YouTube mostly depends on your internet speed. If it keeps buffering mid video then you computer isn't to blame.

But if the video itself is laggy and the sound works, then its a video issue. Did you install the video driver after you installed XP?

My internet is fine, its at 21 mbps download so that doesnt seem the problem. The video seems doable and ok at 360p. I think I installed the correct video drivers. I think it was the Intel XMA 3000. Any ideas?

However for example, watched an HD 1080p video, it was definately not watchable but the audio was really choppy aswell. Lol. How do I disable hardware accelaration for youtube? Thanks :P
