Small Vista annoyances.

Just wondering if I can change something so that little things stop changing?
I have folders on the desktop for music, vids etc.
Each time I open them the contents inside might be tiles instead of my favorite small icons or whatever. Even the size of the folder when opened will be different.
Any suggestions?
I dont think this ever happened with XP.

Try this first.

If it doesn't work I found this in a random forum post.

Use the registry hack to set all folders to default.
Set them as you like from the "folder options" and click "apply to all folders"

I have tried another, more difficult way to do it.
It is working so far.
Time will tell.
By the time Vista is bug free Windows 7 will be out.
