Smaller PS2's?

I've decided that for my birthday I'm gonna try and catch up with 3 years ago; I've decided to get a PS2. I personally like my consoles big 'n' buff, but I'm curious about these new, smaller PS2's (mostly because they're cheaper). Are they just as powerful/fast as the older, more "big-boned" (;)) versions? I need to decide pretty soon which version I want to get, but I don't want to lose any power or functionality with a smaller console. Thing is, with the bigger one's, I'd not be able to get more than one game for a while...
 
They should have the same exact capabilities as eachother. Just one saves space, and one's more nostalgic ;) (I never thought I'd see the day that I would refer to a PS2 as nostalgic...)
 
Llama is right, buy an Xbox, soooooo much better with virtually the same games as PS2!! Plus xbox has Halo and The Chronicles of Riddick (AWESOME GAME)!!!
 
I would go with the original one, mainly because its the original one and it works fine. The older one is easier to mod and add harddrives to smaller one is onl there to save space.

Also i think the smaller one has a quieter powersupply in it, not sure though.

Thats not his question.

I would get the original.Ask your self this, WHY is it so much cheaper, shouldn't the older model be cheaper ;)

hahahahaha n1 Gta:sa came about A YEAR after ps2 haha :D :D :D ur right man u have a point...
AND GTA:SA is one of the games..
 
they both are the exact same thing.. just that the PS2two does not have the hard drive support that the original one had.. and the online network capabilities are now built into the new ps2two.. thats pretty much it.. nothing to it... if ur going to buy it this late.. just get the original one.. its cheaper... as far as mods go.. its pretty much the same .. nothing to it.. follow directions..
