Smart Draw

I see a shortcut on my screen and I click it and a window pops up asking to run it.I haven't run it and I don't remember going to the site,it's located in Program Files.I have no idea what it is.
Can I just delete it from there?

Is it a shortcut to an internet page or a shortcut to open some program? Probably not to an internet page, because Windows would not ask you to run it.

The general answer is - yes, you can delete any shortcut.
However, if I were you, I would want to know what it points to. You can right-click on it, select Properties and then see what it says.

If it is to a program you don't know about or something you have never heard of - let us know what it is. We can help you figure out what kind of a program it is.

The shortcut just pulls up a window that asks to open the file by hitting run.
In properties it says Created Feb 11 2009 and /accessed Sept. 19 2009.It just popped up this morning.

From reading up on it a little,it looks like some kind of program to draw and design floor plans and stuff.
I was probly on my laptop when I bought it used and never actually ran.It also says it's a trial.

That's what is in ''Program Files''.

Publisher is smartdraw.com.

Oh - so it is not a shortcut, but an actual .exe file to install the program. That makes more sense. :)
Yeah, it looks like it is a trial of SmartDraw, which is a program to create flow charts etc. You can delete it. It appears to be an old version anyway. If you ever wanted to try the program, you can always just go to www.smartdraw.com and download the latest trial.
