So, 20" LCD is better than 22"

Since they both have the same resolution 1680 x 1050, the smaller LCD would have sharper images?

Or can you not tell?
 
In general, the smaller one would probablylook slightly sharper due to the pixels being physically smaller, but there are a few other factors that affect quality and sharpness.
 
Yes... but it's also nice to have more viewing area. I think 22" is better since you won't really notice a difference.

It's like watching 720p on a 20" computer monitor. It doesn't look that good, and you can't really see the details. Watch it on a 40" hdtv though, and you really will see all the details.
