So I am looking to reloading AVG or Avast.

I just installed Avast on a laptop... I would choose Avast over AVG
I believe it runs smoother and I've only had trouble with AVG

AVG is bloaty and interferes with Combofix when it needs to be run. Go Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials

What OS are you using by the way? I only ask because if you are using 7 or Vista go with Avast.. if you are currently on Xp, I would say go with MSE. Regardless, it's your choice if you decide to run MSE on Vista/Windows 7

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.5.0i for Windows XP (I use that one) or newer version for Windows Vista or Windows 7.
It is one of the best,but it also does cost a fortune lol.

A year or 2 ago McAfee sent out an update that killed a whole lot of computers.
It attacked parts of the OS thinking it was a virus.

So that update was obviously for some other McAfee edition.Probably the crapy one lol...

In my entire life I only got infected once.I already said that in one of the previous posts.It was the damn USB stick of my brother which had more than 90000 viruses which were programmed to spread all the way around.
And I plugged the damn stick in my computer without the protection on and then all of a sudden BOOOOM!
And the worst thing is that I believed him when he told me that there are no viruses on the stick haha!Since that day I do not believe to anyone including myself
