yeah so I gave this 3d mark a try and I ran "benchmark" and this is what I got..

"18873 3D Marks"

I was just wondering...is this good or what because idk much about any benchmarks....

thanks...

im guessing you're not running 3dmark05. if you were running 05 i'd expect a score of between 3500 and 4000, although it is possible to get a bit higher with cpu overclocking and video overclocking

Lol

IT IS 3D Mark 2001....and at stock, that's a decent score. I have mine OC'd and I get 19951 points.

Thats not bad, I would think it would be higher with those specs.

Ive hit 20K with a plain jane 6800 and a 2.2GHz CPU

yea im useing 3d marks 01..not sure where I can get 05...

also its not o'ced or anything..pretty much everything is stock..

what's decent for 03? I get around 11,000 and I don't game too much but I figured that was fairly decent, oh on a x800xl

Can I ask wht the hell these scores actualy mean?. Are they a measurment of anything, or does the programme test your computers capabilities, then like just give it a score so you can directly compare two computers??

Also im downloading 2005 now lets hope my rig is up to it

well the first max payne used 3d mark as a reference for running at different setting. i used to know how it was worked out but i've since forgotten, but it was very complex. its basically there to allow people to compare their results on different systems.
you should be able to run the benchmark, it might look jittery buts its designed to push your system hard

haha ok, well seeming as I OC it with that pogramme without knowing what im doing, I hope I don't burn anything out, especialy as the system runs at over 80degrees.

I just got a score of 3444 (but I quit very early) would this score increase if I left it longer???? and how long does complete set of tests take and would I get better results if I closed all other programmes like MSN down before running the tests?

close all unecessary programs and run all the 3d tests and if you want cpu tests, these are all thats required to get a score. increasing your score can be done by overclocking and tweaking your graphics settings.

Thats a very nice score, i got around 18K stock in '01 with my system. '01 is more CPU intensive than other versions.

I would get 03 or 05, you can get them for free at futuremark.com

yeah I tried to d/l 3dmark05 and it just takes me to random sites that dont load or need a subscribtion...

any1 know where I can get it free????

EDIT:
oops I spoke to soon...Im d/ling it now....
Im sure when im done im going to need help running it unless its as easy as the old one I had..
