So I was configurating Vista when...

My laptop shut down. Yes, I forgot to plug it in.

I got as far as "English" to select language, and then it asked me another question. I clicked Next and it started loading stuff and shut down.

I rebooted, took about 1 minute with the message "Please wait while windows configures blah blah blah" and when I got back to the screen, I had the Vista background and now the message is "Please wait while Windows continues setting up your computer."

My question is, did I miss anything crutial in the setup or did it actually go to the correct spot in the config? Can something like this mess up the computer?

I didn't get prompted to make the recovery disks yet. Can I do this later? I've never dealt with Vista before. Thanks.

Did you have is a vista disk? I would reload it if I was you but play around with it and if everything works then your fine.

Where are getting the copy of vista. Does your pc boot up? If so make the disc, Or I would even say get windiows 7 beta.

You should be fine, you should be able to run the set up again. But everthing thats in the set up can be changed again.

As for the recovery disks. Type 'recover' into the start search menu and you should find the right programme there to create a recovery disk with vista.

Good Luck!
