So when I buying a Mobo what should I look for?

I want to build a gaming PC and I'm not sure what to look for in a mobo or PSU.

Like I see some mobo's have some NVidia thing in their title. What does this mean?

So could someone tell me please!

Well, if you're getting an Intel Core 2 Duo, the Gigabyte boards are the most popular and, in my opinoin, the best ones to use, with-out a shadow of a doubt.

The Gigabyte 965P-S3, or the Gigabyte 965P-DS3

Either is great! Lot's of features, a lot of the members on CF have one :)

first, you need to decide on whether you are going for Intel processor or AMD... however, if you want the best as of now, go with Intel Core 2 Duo line since they are the best right now as many people have said...

second, assuming you are going for Intel, you now need to decide whether you are going dual core or quad core... and make sure your mobo supports accordingly... however, if you are looking to make your comp a little future proof, get a mobo that support quad core right away... therefore, whenever you want to upgrade to quad core you can just buy the processor instead of having to buy both the processor and a new mobo...

third, you need to decide whether you want to go SLI later on or not... if you want to SLI later down the road, get a mobo that is compatible with it... if you are not going for SLI then the GIGABYTE mobo that Kornowski have recommended is indeed the best IMO...

hope im not forgetting any other pointer... some one else feel free to chip in...
hope this helps... :)

What's the advantages to having SLI? What is SLI?

Yea, I'm most likely going with a Duo Core processor.

SLI is what nVidea have named having to graphics cards in the same computer; ATI call it Crossfire.

It's if you have two PCI-e x 16 slots on your motherboard and two identical graphics cards you can have them run at the same time, doubling the power.

At the moment, I don't think it's worth it, but it's up to you.

Yeah, Good choice, Core 2 Duo's are really good!

Gigabyte, no doubt, as Kornowski said.

I look at SLI & Crossfire like this, it's twice the price, but not twice the power. I would only do it with 8800's or the future 8900.

Wait until July 22, Intel has some great stuff coming then, I am very impressed with Q3. Intel is releasing the E6650, E6750, E6850 and the E6850 has been tested stable at 4.7Ghz, on air cooling. Those new Core 2 Duos are gonna be awesome. That E6850 is gonna be $266 and beat out the current Kentsfield quad-core processors.

AMD just had even more salt poured into the wound inflicted by the Core 2's.
