I just upgraded my monitor to a Samsung 23" syncmaster. Im also still using the old monitor to throw extra programs on while i play games on my new one. its working quite nicely.
Video card is next.
I currently have a 1gb 6770 as in my sig.
Do i get a single 7770 or a single 7850
I will not overclock, i never have and dont believe i ever will.
My price limit is going to be $200 usd, And i CANNOT push this amount any more. And wont be able to for a while.
The rest of my specs are in my sig and my case is huge so space is not an issue.

ORRRR

Do i go Nvidia and get something like a 560ti or ??? i dont know nvidia cards at all.

Looking for some guidance, thankyou.

Is the 77** the older series and the 78** the new series?

And the 3rd and 4th digit in those names. Is that the model in the series?

do i have that right?

no. 77** and 78** are teh same age. The first digit, the 7 tells you the generation, the second the performance level, and the third tells you high or low. 7770 is lower than 7850, while 7870 is higher than 7850.

7850 will be much better then the 7770 and the 7770 is a nice little bump from the 6770. Just make sure to get the 2gb version, 20 is well worth it as games now need over 1gb to play at 1080p and in the next year or 2 they probably will begin to benefit from 2gb's.
