Do not get an Asus motherboard, anything Asus branded that is not a laptop. Their support is worse than HP (and if you have had to deal with HP you know what thats saying).

I would suggest a Gigabyte P67/z68 board with x16/x16 CF/SLI capabilities. Also look into a GTX560ti as it will out perform the 6870 and can be OCd to out perform a 6950.

Thanks, and yea I had to deal with them once, going to avoid them then.So aside from them changes everything else seem fine enough? Trying to get as much info before the build in about a week, any info in appreciated.

i have never heard anyone here say not to get asus, they are one of the best board makers, also why not newegg, they have a great special going on right now

but that psu is a complete waist of money, overkill as crap, unless you plan to go xfire, then it's still overkill since a single more powerfull card is better than that, also newegg has the same ram, might be blue, but is 75 and 10 buck mail in rebate.

also that hdd isn't much faster than a samsung f3, and the f3 will get you 1tb for about the same price

Just giving this a go,as I'm not tech savy...and yes I use tiger because newegg with taxes in my state sometimes ends up being the same if not more.Mainly looking for something to play wow max settings,a few other random games with a future to upgrade to run two cards and so on.Open to advice. Budget is now $1300 to $1500. Not needing keyboard/mouse/monitor in that price.Advice on a monitor outside of that would be nice tho 24-26 inch area would be nice. So have at it.

not overkill johnny. and there have been plenty of threads on the poor quality and poor service of Asus. try searching for them.

sorry, didn't see that, but also as long as you don't need support they are fine, and the most likely spot to need it is a doa if you know what you are doing and keep your setup safe and protected.

why not newegg, they have a great special going on right now

I live in Jersey and we get taxed for it all,a large sum of stuff ends up being priced more then others. I use newegg,I just prefer others. Like I said I am open to any suggestions for a build in the 1300-1500 range now that will get me to running the WoW mainly on max settings while maintaining a high fps.

you can max wow for less than that, but also you should still look at those newegg promos, some good ones in there that should even out the taxing situation.
