socket 370 to slot 1 adapter

i just got my socket 370 to slot 1 adapter today, i put it in my Dell, it worked i was on the 4 a while, then i got a STOP error, soo i turned the computer off, then back on, and still got it, soo i put my original cpu in, and it worked fine, i change the jumper settings 2 the right 1's, and now i just get a amber light on the fron of my computer, instead of a green light, i thought it was the ram, soo i tryed that, but nothing, any1 know why? thanks.

ok, i changed the jumper settings on the adapter 2 the right 1's, i thought the FSB on the cpu was 133mhz, but it was 100mhz, soo i changed it 2 the right 1, and now the computer starts up, get the XP screen, and right when Windows opens, i got the STOP error, this was the 1st 2 trys, and then the 3rd, i got the STOP error, like i did the 1st and 2nd time, and it just totally shut down my computer, it said that on the STOP error, is it because the mhz may be 2 much? the cpu is 1GHZ.
