ok i have a p4 2.8ghz and some ddr333 memory. all i can find for around 50$ for a mobo calls out for ddr400. will they work with the ram i have?
 
no, ddr333 has better timings anyays, unless your upgrading to high quality ram like ocz just screw it, not worth ur $$$ for music

why do you want a new mobo?

The difference would be pretty much unnoticable between the two, I would keep your DDR333.

Most DDR333 has the same timings anyways, unless its high performance RAM. DDR400 does perform better, but the difference isnt much.
 
totally agreed.....ddr333 and ddr400 aren't much difference in terms of performance....i have tried that on my mobo before
