socket compatability when amd changes from 90nm

ive been hearing alot from intel and their new con chip but i could care less. i want to know what the compatability status is of a motherboard that reads the current 90nm chip compared to the 65nm chip that amd will come out with in the future. will my mother board support it? im guessing not but its worth a shot .
 
What is your current motherboard? if it is anything other than a socket AM2, it probably wont, and even then, AMD may be introducing another new socket for 65nm.
