Socket Help

i have a hp a 1330n from about 2 years ago and i am wanting to upgrade the ram, processor and add a video card. i have the single core amd athlon 3800 my question how can i find out what socket the mother board uses? i am not sure if it is am2 or a 939

I suggest you just get or build another system...

You seem to have 1GB DDR400 Memory..... and an free PCI-E x16 slot...

I am planning on building another pc soon but i was just wanting to upgrade the one i have now to use as a media center pc.

If its two years old and a 3800 its a 939, think a 3700 was the biggest 754
