socket s1 processors

How many people have socket s1 on their laptop? Noone seems to have that. I just was wondering because I got a laptop that is s1 and am having the damndest time finding somone to buy a processor. So, I was wondering if they were newer so less people had them?

I have a laptop, and it's processor is removable. It shows up in CPUz as Socket 754, so I don't know for sure if it's just being read wrong or what...

I don't think it's a very new socket, but look around. I think Wikipedia had some info on them.

its newer, but allot of people still have them.keep looking, theyre used for turions are they not?

the s1 is replacing the socket 754

they came out in may or june i think too, this year... so they are pretty new, but not that new as hardware goes

Yea the processor i have is a turion. I replaced the processor (single core) with a dual core. so I have this extra processor packaged away lol
