Software hiding software

OK, i got busted at work a while back cause i was fooling around playing a game while my boss walked by. It's been a while now but i want to play around when i'm not busy. My question is, is there a software, hopefully freeware, that i can use to hide a window or two with a few keystrokes, that will ONLY show the windows if i hit those keys again? My co-worker runs winstealth or stealth windows, i can't remember, and it does what i want. however, he has an icon in his icon tray that all someone has to do it click it, and the hidden windows pop back up. So does anyone know of any good programs that hide windows?

Although It's not good to help someone play some games during work hours :P but you can always press the windows button (The one between the Left CTRL and the Left ALT on your keyboard) + D

This will show the desktop and minimize all the running windows immediately.

If you are talking about a program that hides the running windows and prevent them from even being seen at the task bar, then I don't think I know one and I don't recommend one as your boss will think that you are simply sitting doing nothing on your computer and you will get into more trouble than being caught playing a game or so.

run your work app (make sure if full window mode) then run you game. If you boss walks past just do a quick alt + tab between the tow to pop up you work windows and leave you game behind it. agreed you will still be able to see the game in the task bar but it unlikely he will look there. If you worried then just set you taks bar to auto hide (by right clicking on it and pressing properties and activating auto hide).

It works for me!

About that stealth windows, you can use that and hide it in the icon bar in the taskbar. Just simply run it and then right click on the taskbar. Click properties then it will come with this

Hide Inactive Icons then click on Customize
It will come up with all the things that are set to show up on your icon bar. Look for the stealth windows icon and click on Alway Hide from the drop down menu.

historykill
it's a pretty kewl lil program. i know it may not be free, pretty sure it's not, but it works good
a little too good though
it hides ALL windows open. so, even your work stuff will be hidden.
but, i know you can set it up to where all you have to do is tap a few buttons and everything is hidden. and, only way to bring it back up, is to hit those same buttons.
also, if you search websites while you're at work you ain't suppose to, history kill will completely erase your tracks

Surely this means his game he was playing will come up as well.

I refer to this, this is why he shouldn't use the program you have suggested as it will hide his work files. Then if his boss comes he presses the keys. BAM up comes the game he was trying to hide in the first place ;)

which is the drawback to any software (at least that i know of). i don't believe there is a software program out right now that would make it possible to hide just the game or anything
i could very well be wrong though.

Yes in a sense you are. I did some searching for you hdansjr and found a program called "Hide Master" which allows you to hide a program manually. So you can just hide the game. The only downside to this is it is not freeware. But sometimes we have to splash some money

Maybe suggest it to some of your work mates.
Anyway if you would like some more info on it goto.

It seems like what you want

that's cool
i'm gonna have to check that out later myself
i'm at work right now though
shhh!
haha
don't think i would be able to download it on my computer at work though, they'd find it for sure. i work at dell, and they reimage our hdd's like every other week or so.

I hope it helps and also if the re-image a hdd, you can just make all the files hidden then hide the folder. They might be just making a small check. Not really looking for anyway malicious files.
Just get a good rep with the admin's and they will let you off with most things. By good rep I mean make good friends with them. :D
