Software Problems

Lately I've been having a few problems with some of the software on my computer.

Firstly, sometimes when I open up Adobe Acrobat Reader, the program freezes. I can't scroll or access any of the menus, and when I exit, it stays frozen and the "an error has occurred" box pops up. This happens most times I open up the program, but not always. I have some other Adobe programs, and they always operate fine.

Secondly, with MSN messenger I have a similar problem as with Acrobat Reader. The program opens fine, but when I go to sign in, about 80% of the time the window goes white and the program freezes. Once again, I click exit and the end program box comes up.

Finally, my Firefox browser works fine, except sometimes it doesn't shut down properly. I go to get into it a bit later, and nothing happens when I click on the icon. To make it work, I have to go into task manager and close the old process, which can be annoying at times. Again, this only happens sometimes but it would be good if someone had a fix for it.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced any of the above, or if anyone has a solution to any of these three annoying problems. I run Nod32 virus checker and CCleaner frequently. Need anymore info, just ask.

Thanks!!

The first thing I would do is uninstall Adobe and Firefox and reinstall them to see if that fixes the problem

thanks for your help, but reinstalling didnt fix my problems. however, now ive noticed that often there is more than one firefox process running in my task manager (as i mentioned earlier). this task is always a lot smaller than the main firefox program, (about 4000K as opposed to the normal 45000K ish). when i end this task, it allows me to run both messenger and adobe correctly. has anyone else got any other ideas how to fix this other than reinstalling firefox?
