software to check all hardware?

I'm looking for a piece of software such that tests all computer hardware including a Hard drive integrity test. I used to have a Lenovo thinkvantage program that checked everything on my ThinkPad. Any help?

I don't really know of a program that is good at testing everything. What are you trying to test? Some things are better to be tested in the OS and others are better outside of the OS.
