Software to reset connection?

Does anyone know of any software that can disconnect my connection (cable ethernet lead) and recconect after a set amount of time?
 
You can do it manually by going Control Panel ==> Network Connections, right clicking on the connection and clicking disable.

Do you specifically need software that can do this?
 
yes, i want the software to do it when i am not on my computer (sleep/work).
the main problem is on my torrents program (azureus) if i have a lot of downloads/uploads my connection goes flat after a certain amount of time, but when i recconect it comes back on again. I wanted to reset the connection every hour automatically. Any ideas?
 
I've found a program that may suit your purpose here. It can ping an ip, and when it fails to ping it can restart your computer. So long as your bittorrent software is set to automatically run on startup and resume tasks, then the restart would also restart your internet connection.

I trust you are using Azureus for nice and legal purposes... :P
