Solid, Cheapish laptop needed, plz help

The name fits.

Anyway, I need a laptop for $800-1000. All it really needs to do is manage 4-6 tables of online poker w/ a constantly updating stats tracker while running ~10 browser tabs, msn, and skype. I assume this is pretty easily done by any decent laptop nowadays lol.

15"+ is mandatory.

$10 on Full Tilt Poker for the best one, please just post ITT.

I ended up going with this one, and personally am not extremely happy with my purchase, but whatever. Anyway, like I said I play online poker, and the wireless card seems to blow balls. I was wondering if it was possible to replace easily at home, and if it was, what a very good card for <~$75 would be, and if not, if I should just get a linksys type usb wireless thing.

If you are not happy with the purchase, then why did you buy it?

There are tons of laptops out there that will fit your needs within budget; no need to buy something you will be unhappy with.

Internal wireless cards are fairly easy to replace; installing one in a laptop that doesn't come already equipped is a bit tougher-- one would have to disassemble the entire laptop to install the antennas.
 
In this case, I don't think eMachines are the way to go.

But there are plenty of consumer-grade laptops out there that would fit the bill, even a decent Dell or HP, if you catch the right sale.

Well he said CHEAP so I gave him or her the cheap one.;) I have to tell you I bought a ASER e442-v133 when Best Buy had them on sale for $275, and it's been a real sweet laptop, large bright display really good keyboard, and it's worked very well.:)

You should take it to Asus to fix it if there is hardware problem.
