Soluto

It's an excellent program, I reccomended it to Aastii for his 'Freeware' sticky. I used it to shave quite a few seconds off my bootup time as it lists each startup with the time it takes. Also it will graph a history of your bootup so any new programs that like to be in your startup can be monitored for causing sluggishness. :good:

I've messed around with it. I definitely like how it breaks down how long each program takes to startup, but as far as optimization goes the program isn't really necessary if you know what you're doing.

It's annoying that you have to run it to keep the programs from starting up. It took 1 sec off my 35 sec boot time. :D SSD for the win.

Nice to hear, it really opened my eyes. I didn't realize that Avira takes 88 seconds to start up, and as a result i have a 4minute total boot time. :/

I never used it for anything other than a pointer as to what was taking its toll on the boot time, once I knew this I could play around elsewhere and disable/delay those programs not needed immediately, or at all.
This is what it is good at, giving you a visual on what is starting along with its time to do it, then its up to you how you best handle that info.

I found the graphical representations to be helpful but otherwise i felt that the program was actually detrimental. After installing my computer stayed at the 'welcome' screen for much longer than before, also boots took longer than before installation by quite a bit. Funny how it works i guess.
