Some Games running VERY ULTRA SLOW

I have an Compaq Presario SR5120SC Desktop PC. (Note: I have changed the Hard-drive and DVD Player.)
And I recently a few days ago I reformatted it.
First I reformatted to Windows 7 x86. After a while I realised that my PC only has drivers for Vista, and it supports x64. (It came originally with Vista to)
Even though, when I tried to play games, such as Company of Heroes, which my computer is above recommended hardware. It runs slow as hell and loads forever, its not playable. And I had 1 out-of-date driver for Display.

I reformatted again to Vista x64. This time, all the display drivers are up-to-date, but its the same result when I try to play Company of Heroes.

Driver Detecive says my NVIDIA is out of date, Driver Navigator says its up to date.
I have downloaded the driver from NVIDIA homepage. I doubt the problem lies on this.

I have no Idea what's going on. Please help, I really want to be able to play my games again.

Specs.
DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E4400, 2000 MHz (10 x 200)
Dual DDR2 SDRAM, (1gig RAM)
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

Driver detective and programs like that are crap, don't rely on what they say, if you got the latest driver direct from the nVidia website, it will be up to date, after all who will know better, a third party program that wants your money, or the company that actually makes the video card at the driver for it ;)

It will be your memory causeing the issues. Although the specs say that you only need 512mb/1GB recommended, like nearly all other RTS games, that isn't true at all, you will be needing at least 2 to play.

Your video card is plenty strong enough, I've had CoH playing on a 6150SE integrated, which, even compared to an 8400GS, is atrocious
