Some problems after installing video card

Specs:
Mobo: GA-K8VM800M
CPU: AMD Sempron 3100+
RAM: 512mb

Video Card: 256mb X700

Well, awhile ago I made a thread about my video card messing up, I gave up on that but decided to try again. Did a lot of things before making this post though.

1. Reinstalling Drivers - Didn't work
2. Tried different drivers (omega) - same problem as using ATI drivers
3. Using specific options in the BIOS - got most of the options...

I got a specific list about settings and stuff from the Sapphire forums:

MOTHERBOARD BIOS SETTINGS
AGP = Auto or x4 or x8 8x
Init Display = AGP Couldn't find this
AGP Aperture Size = 64Mb or 128Mb (whatever is most stable for you) 128, before it was 64 but that didn't work
Fast Writes = OFF Yep
Video BIOS Shadowing = OFF/Disable Couldn't find this
Assign VGA IRQ = Enable/On << V.Important Couldn't find this either
Onboard VGA/Display = Off/Disabled This option was, 'Onboard/AGP display'

First, this happened

I then restarted, then this occured.

Those pics happened the first time I had the problem but right now I'm only experiencing the first 3 pics.

Might aswell add this even though I don't its not major...more like a sign. When I would boot, when the screen changes (from the loading to the desktop) it kinda goes bar by bar. Kind of what you see in a slide show. Xp

Have you updated the Motherboard Chipset driver it includes the AGP driver

Hmm, everything seems fine but most of my desktop icons are missing and a few from my start menu. It's similar to the first pic but only affecting the icons. They work fine and all but the icon is missing

Dammit, screen went black for a second now I'm experiencing all the problems in the first 3 pics.

Hi

just thought i would mention that your 4th pic (although i know you have said you haven't experienced that one recently) I have had that same effect (4Bit colour). The cause for me was actually to do with my RAM which had caused my Web Cam to install badly and thus mess lots and lots of stuff up.

I would suggest just a quick Memory test. but apart from that a clean install of windows maybe?

Thanks for the post but I doubt my memory is the problem.
