So when I build my rig in a few months, I'm planning on using a 785G motherboard(HD4200 IGP) along with a Radeon 3450 that I got for free. Both have an RV620 core, at 500MHz. I'm planning to overclock both of them.
Anyway, what I'm wondering is how the two interact, and have some questions that google couldn't answer:
1- The IGP supports ATI Stream and UVD2, but the 3450 does not. Will I be able to use them?
2- If the IGP has Sideport memory, will that affect anything?
3- How will I go about overclocking them both? I'm assuming I should get them OC'd before enabling crossfire...?
4- Would I be better off by using a larger OC on the IGP and forgetting the 3450? Depending on the board, the 4200 quite a bit more power on the stock cooler. This would simplify things, but It seems like I'd have a net loss in power.
