I have some serious shit going on with my laptop. any help would be appreciated.
*The screen is completely black!*
It starts off with a black screen(Not even bios) and a fan spinning for about 3 seconds. Then the fan stops...but if I remove both of the RAM, the fan just keeps spinning forever...and you cant even press the capslock when both of the RAMS removed...Is it the (nVidia) video chip maybe? +There are no beeps at all, even when ram removed....-.-
... Maybe both ram sticks are damaged, but i dont have spare ones, i don't want to waste my money on something i don't even know if it works
I don't think than anything is fried on the mobo, i've checked ...the capacitors look ok and ther isn't anything that is burnt...cpu looks good, too
Things i've tried:.
*connecting the laptop to a external monitor, no luck.
*Hot air soldering the video chip, no luck.
*Reseating the Ram
*eraser trick - rub ram gold plated part with eraser
*Cmos reset
*tried to boot from another device (another HDD, CD drive)
*I'm planning to smash it with a hammer, see if it works...
..running out of ideas...
so if you could lend me a hand i would be very thankful.
