some video questions

i guess i have a few questions regarding videos. First one is, why does my computer experience tremendous lag after playing a graphic intensive game such as bf2? Like for about 10 seconds the computer is just unusable, then it slowly unties itself.

Also, i was just playing the FEAR SP demo and everything was perfectly smooth until i hit this random lag, in the middle of no where it just lagged for like 3 seconds. It did that a few times, just wondering how.

Third question, sometimes my monitor flickers and pixelates on the edges...usually not during games but during normal work and stuff. And when it does that the speaker always clicks. But sometimes the speaker clicks when my computer isn't even on...like when i sleep and it gets really annoying.

It would be great if anyone know some ways to stop these issues. Thanks!

It's probably because your computer is recovering RAM that was used during the game, this happens to me once i close out of Half-Life 2. Or it could be because your video card is trying to cool down.

When it lagged, was it during a big fight scene or something that looks like it takes alot of graphics power?

Sounds like some kind of interference, try turning some things off and see if it solves the problem.

the first one. it it was the grafics trying to cool itself, the game wouldnt have run smoothly :)

and for the random lag, check if you have programs running in the background. ( when i dont close them, i sometimes have the same problem in BF2 ;)

no, it lags at the most random times.

I can turn the speakers off and they wont make sound, but i dont see why they make sound when the computer's turned off, unless somethings wrong with the amp.

Also i get the lags after the game only when i play high video mode with lots of bots.
