Hi all, lately ive been having a problem which doesnt seem to be connected with any action performed on the computer. Out of nowhere the video will just freeze, and after about 3 seconds, my monitor says no signal. Anything that i was doing will still go on; i.e. music, videos, games, etc, i can still hear them and the computer is not locked up. i also dont think its my monitor i have tried turning it off and then back on, disconnecting the cable to the graphics card and reconnecting it. this has never happened before and i wonder if its my gpu.

my system roughly consists of the following:

ASRock 775V88 mobo
P4 HT 3.4 GHz
512 MB of samsung ram
ATI Radeon 9200 LE
M-Audio Delta 44
and various other devices that i use for music recording and production.

i do a lot of production and recording so this is really frustrating if it happens in the middle of something. thanks to everyone in advance.

Time for a new video card! It wouldn't take much to upgrade from that card. Anything would be an improvement. I'm still running a 9700 pro and I thought I was behind the times.

Seriously though, sounds like your video card. Hurry if you want to upgrade it, AGP cards are getting hard to find.

awesome, thanks for the suggestions. i think ill put that Radeon X1650PRO on my list of things to buy. in the near future.
