Hi all so sorry to post on here for the first time with a question that i need answering but i really need some help!
I am pretty sure someone is accessing my computer/files/docs etc and am unsure how to find out! I am not great with software and wondering if anyone can help me?!?!? :)

every time im on my laptop random things pop open and today i turned it on - when i finally managed to get it going to find that my windows live mail calender was open and i havent used this for years!!!!! No one has access to my laptop and i do not have children or a partner and it stays in my bedroom until i return home from work! Very odd but there is definitely something strange going on!! I would be SO grateful if someone could help me on this one? Pleaseeeee :)

Perplexing indeed, do the standard troubleshooting below to make sure there isnt anything goofy on your system and report back with your results.

Before posting any Malware Removal problem please run a scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. If you are still experiencing problems, post the log it produces along with a HijackThis log and a detailed description of the problems you are experiencing:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
o and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
* then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If for some reason Malwarebytes will not install or run please download and run Rkill.scr, Rkill.exe, or Rkill.com but DO NOT reboot the system and then try installing or running Malwarebytes. If Rkill (which is a black box) appears and then disappears right away or you get a message saying rkill is infected, keep trying to run rkill until it over powers the infection and temporarily kills it. Once a log appears on the screen, you can try running malwarebytes or downloading other programs.

If you continue to experience problems after doing this, please post a HijackThis log by doing the following:

Download the HijackThis installer from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe.

Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log and a detailed description of the problems you are experiencing in your own thread. Please do not post your log in someone else's thread, even if you have the same problem as they do.

It sounds very unlikely that someone can be accessing your computer. I have seen computer viruses that do similar things to what you describe but these were just removed with an anti virus program.
