Someone explain the rules please?

I just joined this forum a couple of days ago. I want to respond to someone who has posted some stuff for sale but it will not let me reply. I can post in all other areas except for the for sale threads. Can someone explain? Thanks

You need to have at least 100 posts before being able to post in the "Equipment for Sale" section of this forum.

This is simply because we don't want others to join this forum only just to scam people and vanish...I think.

He has a thread stating that he will trade a q6600 and $150 for a e8400. That is very enticing. I have an e8400 that I bought just 2 days ago. It is retail w/hsf.
