Something crazy?

I have 2 video boards, one is a inno3d 6800gt and a inno 6600. The 6800gt is dead, the gpu is dead, but the memory dd3 is ok, so i was thinking if i can change the memory of the 6600 non gt with the one on the 6800gt. If this is possible i will change the bios with the bios of the 6600gt that has the same ddr memory as the 6800gt. Can this be done or i will damage the second board? if someone did something like this please tell me what to do :D

A few older video cards had removable memory, but there's no way to do change the memory between cards. I feel quite sure that if you try anything, you'd end up with two dead cards. The hardware is also different, so I'd suspect a different bios would just kill it as well.

Hmmm

I think that theoretically it should be possible but very hard to achieve. The BIOS thing you could forget about. I am referring to the memory. If it has the same amount of pins and the same voltage requirements, then it should be possible. However, you do not have the tools to do that. Therefore...no, you cannot do what you want.

JAN :D
