About a 2 weeks ago my CPU was running at 1.15GHz. With the case on the temp was about 54 degrees celsius. Then when I bought some RAM and tested with the case off the temp was 43 degrees celsius. Then I thought I put the FSB that it should be 166Mhz. Overclocked by accident, the temperature was 54 degrees celsius without case and I was happy with it. Who wouldn't be, their 1800+ Athlon had become as fast as a 2400+. But today the temp went up to 58-60 degrees and system temp went from 31-32 all the way up to 38 degrees. What could be the cause?

when you say without case you mean without the sidepanel right? or do you mean that you're running the computer with the motherboard on the floor? When you first overclocked it did you just leave it idle and now you put some load onto the pc?

Without the case I mean I have the chassis and all like it should be inside the comp but I have nothing covering the side and front of the PC. No I don't have any load on it now, now when it's idle it's 58 degrees and earlier it was 53-55 degrees when idle and also overclocked. And now when I put the FSB to 100Mhz as it was before I OC'ed it's 50 degrees without the case on and earlier it was 43 degrees without the case.
