hi guys recently just upgraded n bought a new USB viewsonic mouse.
heres the scenario:
- i turn on my comp and i connect the mouse via a USB port in the back of the tower
- computer detects it fine and it works properly. i enjoy normal operation
- i turn off my computer and the next day when i try to turn it back on windows XP REFUSES to load. i wait for 5 minutes on the loading screen and nothing happens. i have no choice but to press the reset button.
- whilst booting up it leads me to the page where you get a selection on what settings you want your comp to boot up with. i choose the option "start windows normally". once again i get stuck on the loading screen and need to press the reset button.
- comp resets again and i am led back to the selection window and this time i choose "startup with settings that have worked most recently" or whatever.
- i FINALLY manage to boot up windows and i am back to the point of where i installed the mouse in the first place!
my questions are:
-is the problem the mouse?
-whyy wont my computer start windows normally after i installed the mouse?
-can you please provide a suggestion of how to fix this?
