sony BC-5500S opinion welcomed

What do you think of the blue ray drive:

and is it an external drive you can plug into the pc?

No, it is not an external drive. The model you linked to is for installing into a notebook. If you are wanting an external blu-ray drive then you would need something like this.

It plugs in via the usb cable.

If you are able to put his inside a pc case then you would need one of these.

This model requires a sata data and power plug.

That one is an external drive which uses USB. The one you linked to earlier was to be installed inside a notebook computer. There is a difference.
