Sony desktop monotor. Help needed

for some reasons that when i set my refresh rate higher the corner of my monotor become a little rounded. (it can handel up to 200) it is at 75 right now.

and is it ok turn off the monotor when my computer is still on. (i leave my computer on over night so i can download things.)

I tryed to put the monotor to sleep but every time i wakes it up i have to adjust it because a little lass than half of the start bar will go under the screen so i can only see the top half. same with the top.

please anwser if u know any anwsers for the above.

Have you tried to adjust the image's geometry?

is it ok turn off the monotor when my computer is still on.

It sould be ok if the monitor has an electronic power on/off button.

every time i wakes it up i have to adjust it because a little lass than half of the start bar will go under the screen so i can only see the top half.

A monitor needs at least 15 minutes to reach it's normal parameters.

the things is that i have never had this problem befor antill i changed my Video card.
is there any way to fix it?

Put the old video card back... what is the AGP spec on your mobo? not all video cards can just be popped in (and did you do the drivers etc)
