Sony Notebook Monitor is out

Hi all...need some advice. I have a Sony Vaio. When I turn it on the notebook monitor is dim. Then it starts flickering like crazy...like a strobe light. Then it goes completely out. Any ideas on what it may be and repair suggestions?

Forgot to add...this happens within the first 20-30 seconds of turning it on.

Hey. Try Moving the screen back and forward until you get a clear picture. If it doesnt work i suggest checking that your graphics card is registered with the BIOS.

1. Does it eventually work?
2. Has it always done this?
3. Is it still under warranty?
