Sony or Toshiba for Laptop?

I'm going to buy a laptop. I need experst here: what brand better? SONY or TOSHIBA?

Sony's are overpriced for what you get.

Sonys laptops are really the windows version of apple. Their strong built and all of that but the only bugs in it are once you do gaming it heats up but on a macbook pro you can change the fan speed with SMC fan control.

I'll say Toshiba, since I've had quite positive experiences with'em laptops. Also, even maddox has commented on Sony

toshiba laptops are of descent build and you also gett better value for your money

I own a sony vaio. Very good computer, but like the others said can be over priced. I had a Toshiba once, and really didn't care for it. Ended up returning it two weeks after I got it. I recently bought a Acer laptop, and it's a pretty nice machine for the money.

You have to take into consideration exact models because there are some toshiba lines that will blow away sony and some that would be the opposite. Sony's are great but are generally very expensive. Unless you get a great deal, I would recommend toshiba.

Rack up another vote for toshiba from me. But I think Asus is better than both.
