Sony Vaio RAM Question

Hey Guys...I've got a vaio laptop, runs awesome, I can put 2 GB's in there, and currently have 1 GB. I have 2 X 512MB and looking to go 2 X 1GB...Currently I get awesome battery life...would the 2GB's draw more power or less? I figured it would take a little less work off the hard drive and processor and conserve power, would this be a correct statement?

it would be a negligible amount if it does use more power, however as you say you would use less swapfile on your hard drive and would probably save a little energy. However i dont think that it would be noticeable.
