im looking for nice 17 inch screen laptops and i saw that sony had them, they are cheap decent, and look nice. what do you guys think of them? please, express you full opinion about them

What is your budget and what do you use it for?
Here is a nice Asus...Phenom II triple core, ATI 5470, 4GB DDR3, 500GB 7200RPM hard drive. Not too bad for $900. The only thing I would do if I bought a 17" laptop is look for a higer resolution screen. This would be great for everyday computing needs.

well budget is around 1.4 thousand... (since my I was looking at a thinkpad). but i dont believe that is really necessary because its just going to be around the house laptop. no games, (im trying to make a rig for that from my old dell haha) and nothing to stressful like video editing. its pretty much just internet and typing and maybe a few other things but that sounds pretty much it
