hello i have sony vegas and have a demo of css which is 40 gig :S

i want to render it to about 100mb with the majority sped up!

but not sure what to render it as!

whats the best settings for the rendering

I ussally render as High Deff which takes up about 40GB per 10 min. For 100 you could probally do MPEG

You're going to lose A LOT of quality if you want to size down a 40GB file to a 100MB file. So be prepared for that.

You could try AVI, not sure if it will decrease the size any though.

tis true...AVI can still render extreamly large...with a 40 gig file it would render it to about 5 gigs unless you know how to change some of the settings in Vegas then you can get it down to 100mb but like call said you will lose A LOT of quality

I don't see why 40GB is that much compared to your 500GB hard drive...

That is one of the most stupid question I have ever read. 40 GB a movie he would only be aloud to hold about 12 videos. I have a 160 GB HD and I really hate it when it goes below 100 GB. So 40GB to a 500GB HD can make a huge diff.
