Sony's got to be kidding...

I think if they go through with it they will be hurting themselves a lot. The sheer number of people that rent first then buy is tremendous. I hope they wake up in time to realize what they are doing to themselves...
 
X-BOX and NITENDO here we go! will be the favorite slogan of the day. All this time I thought the "rent to own" industry was flourishing. If Sony does this it will be like Digital did by staying out of the home user market. Why do you think it's now called Ashton-Digital? So much for financing a new PS3!
 
Sony is just too stupid, I think they want the PS3 to bomb. Not being able to by pre-owned games is gonna be so dumb considering their games are gonna be an upward cost of 70$.
 
Let's see...Sony's already shot both of its feet(price and gutting the specs). What else can they shoot? Brain!?
 
Well i believe that sony thinks it has a stronghold over the gaming industry... I mean nintendo and xbox used to compete with it, but now... Nintendo cant put out a good system anymore their best one i still believe was the N64 =p... but all sony has to do is compete with x box and since its been around longer i think people seem to lean more towards sony...
 
I lean towards Sony drives but not PS systems where X-Box offers a competive price on their games as well as hardware. You wait awhile and you will probably see PS3 being sold on eBay or some other site. How they going to completely stop the sale of any used games or hardwares? If they try to push this through they'll end up being the joke of the industry.

well see when they first went to design the ps3 they didnt even want cds ur were gonna have to download it online and buy wit ha credit card but i was glad they ditched it but not for nothign beter
