ASUS P5N-E SLI NFORCE 650 MOTHERBOARD

2 x PCI Express x16
Single VGA mode: x16 (Default)
SLI mode: x8, x8
1 x PCI Express x1
2 x PCI (PCI 2.2)

These are the connections on my motherboard. I've currently got 1 8500gt 512mb graphics card installed.. is there room for another card?

Also could i mix the card..(have two different ones)? because the 8500gt is pretty lame..

Thanks

looking at the 2 PCI-Express there, i think you should be able to put in another 8500gt with the same spec...
im not sure whether you can put in a different card...
AFAIK, if you put in the second card that is better than 8500gt (for example, 8600gt or even 8800gts), that particular card will only at the 8500gt level and hence wasting your money... somebody correct me if im wrong

so people generally put two indentical cards if they want to go SLI...
if i were you, i would invest in getting a better card if i have the budget

If you were to put in a different card in the second slot, you couldnt run sli, they both have to have the same chip.
