1st of all I need a set of 2gb of ram (2x 1gb) for under $200, it has to be 184 pin also. I would like to thank praetor and drunkbum222 for all of their generous help in designing such a fine machine for my budget.
- tell me if anything won't work please.
- what would be the bottle-neck of this machine?
- will everything fit in the case?
- does everything come with all the wires needed?
- is there any part of this that with an extra $20ish USD would be greatly upgraded?
- are monitors universal? I have a 21" tank in the spare room that was on our old pc and I am just wondering if it would work? if you need specs I can do my best to find them. just ask please. thanks :)

I would love to keep the cost under $1050 but if I am really pushed I can maybe get $1100, so that leaves about $200 for ram but I gotta leave room for shipping so I would prefer 2GB (2x 1GB) ram under $200

Thanks so much for being understanding, I do not intend to spam it just seems that only 1 or 2 people would look at my other thread so I have started a new one that is much more effecient.

Thanks again! :) any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you gaming? If you not doing any video or sound editing and all your doing is gaming you probly don't need 2 gigs of ram, one will do fine. Also are you going to over clock?

a - your case seems expensive, get a cheap ugly one. Is this machine for playing or looking at! save the cash toward better cpu/gpu

b- You bought an sli board and yet you've only got one gpu are you planning on buying another card later?

c- If your not oc'ing (overclocking) then you could save a bit of cash on the motherboard, just a few bucks to goto improving you cpu. And if your not overclocking then save cash on you ram too. Put this towards you cpu and/or upping to 6800ultra

d- Your board suport sata II (or sata 300)yet your hdd is only sata I (or sata 150)

I have looked around and I think that that case is the best for me at the time, I understand it is a bit expensive but it's got a cheap 480W PS, and 3 fans, plus it looks alright.

one gpu? is that a graphics card? I don't plan on buying another one later.

I would like to learn how to overclock but at first I think I would leave it alone

so basically my MoBo is better than the rest of my system?

The only thing I know i will upgrade in the future is ram. I doubt I would get a different video card but I am not opposed to getting a better one at first.

So what would be a good Motherboard and video card combination? I just want 4 slots for ram (1gb ea)

I also want to have a good processor, but like i said, gaming. Sorry for all the confusion lol, I'm trying to keep it simple.

ok, no replies in a while, what kind of processor would you guys recommend for heavy gaming but still staying within the price range? I most likely will not overclock, and I still need to find some ram. please help guys, I need to know this stuff soon, I have done lots of searching and am still continuing but even 5 minutes of your time makes a great difference in the searching and knowledge department. thank-you

I found some ram that seems like it will work well, I guess i will have to go over the $200 mark
