I am wondering if there is any software out there that can record the audio portion of a DVD movie into mp3 format for burning to a CD? I have a Pentium 4 with 256 MB RAM Win XP w/ a DVD-ROM drive and a CD-Writer drive. I ask because I have a couple of concerts on DVD that I would like to burn to a CD.
Any ideas?

i dont know of any software that will automatically do it (and i kinda doubt it exists), but i do know of a nice freeware that will let you do it manually (you will have to tell it to start and stop recording). its called Free Hi-Q Recorder, and it works pretty well. all you got to do is make sure it records from "wave out mix". and youll need to adjust the volume.

edit: just make sure its not copywrited*

Yeah, that's the only thought I had was to record the audio from a headphone jack into the line in on the computer and then use a simple recording program to record it. Was hopign there was some sort of capture program.
thanks for the help.
