My mom has a Gigabyte p35 http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2599 in her new build and the driver disk that came with the motherboard appears to be outdated. The USB drivers, ethernet drivers, etc work fine, which were on the same disk. There is an audio driver that is on it and doesn't work.
It is called "Microsoft UAA BUS Driver for High Definition Audio"
It says it is installed and everytime the pc boots up we are prompted to install an audio driver. Then the program searches for the software (on pc and internet) and cannot find it. In the description of the driver it says it only works with
1. Microsoft Windows Server 2003
2. Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1)
3. Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4)
We are using Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and need to find a driver that will work for SP2. Once found we need instructions on installing them, neither of us are familiar at all with drivers.
P.S: Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread! Let me know and I will make a new one in the correct place or if a mod can just move it that would be great.
