Sound Editing Software

I'm looking for software that will clear up background noise from a taped interview. The files have to be in a .wav format. I would prefer freeware.

Audacity, yes. Use the Noise Removal effect.

Ues the hiss removal tool. It wont completely remove the noise, but it will clean it up!
