Sound on a Laptop/Ultrabook

Krazy

Hey guys, this can be a really classic first post but i am in a desperate need of a new computer. My HP Pavillion dm4 3000et(Beats Edition-btw not the ones just equipped with beats software mine has an integrated subwoofer and all that good stuff) broke today(thanks to flimsy case) and i need a new laptop/ultrabook

I am at uni. right now and because of my classes i need to carry a laptop all the time.So weight and battery life are really important for me.
Also i do music production and i love listening music so sound quality is really important. My old laptop has a really nice set of speakers, pretty loud and equipped with some good bass compared to other laptops and i dont really want to lose that comfort.

Thanks in advance,

Size and price would be nice to know, the Hp case is flimsy because they are cheap.

The Lenovo Yoga are nice

They also have JBL Speakers and Waves audio certification. My wifes Lenovo Z series has JBL speakers and they sound pretty good for a laptop.

IMO no matter what you do with a laptop the sound is only so nice, I prefer a nice pair of headphones or some external speakers. That is just my two cents.

I personally like Dell. I have had NOTHING but Dell laptops and all have been good to me. Sure, there may be a few bad models, but I pick a Precision, Inspiron or workstation type model.

Better audio can be achieved with a dedicated Express audio card or a USB sound card. And yeah, use headphones or speakers.

What is your budget?

By the way... If you are going to write any papers you should always capitalize your I's and place a space after the period. LOL

Forgot the writing rules because I was too scared at that moment :D Anyway, my current laptop is 14 inches and I have a budget around 600-800 bucks. Thanks for all the information by the way.
