Sound Outputs?

Hey,

I have a Thinkpad A31 and I was wondering about my sound outputs. I have 3 jacks on the side of my computer and I was wondering what the one that has a circle with and arrow going through it means. I am going to play songs at a party through my laptop and basically what I am trying to do is to preview songs through my headphones and then play them through speakers connected to my laptop. Is that possible with the 3 jacks I have? The other two are a microphone one and a headphone one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a circle with an arrow pointing into the circle (line in)
There is a circle with an arrow pointing out of the circle (line out)

I would assume the other one is for a MIC.

Well,

The circle has the arrow pointing in so I assume it is a line in. I was wondering if there is a possibility to do what I stated in my first post which is to have one output for speakers and one for headphones so I can preview each song. Please help. Thanks a lot.
