Sound stutters?

every few minutes in a game i get a few seconds of stuttering..It did it with on board sound now does it with my cheap sound blaster Audigy......Win XP Pro......

Well..I tried downloading new drivers..disabling Norton..I just don't get it

could a 6200nvidia video card have a slight intermittent stutter that causes sound to stutter?
