source freezes

i uninstalled css cause when id click find server, it would freeze, i went to add or remove progs. and clicked css uninstall and i think i did the same for steam...

then now i try to put the disk one into my DVD+R RW drive with no apps. running and it freezes me



what do i do

how do i install it without freezing

delete steam off my other computer, cause i used those disks to get steam on there.
 
First uninstall Steam completely and delete Steam from the Program Files folder.

Then download and install steam from www.steampowered.com

Log in, and install CSS that way, in case theres a corrupted file on the CD.
 
freezing when refreshing for servers and freezing when trying to reinstall sounds like a firewall issue to me ,i know zonealarm firewall doesnt always come up asking to allow or deny programs maybe other firewalls do the same if so that could be why.
